In short: use the bot lawfully and within Discord's rules, don't abuse or attack it, and understand that it's provided free and as-is. We can remove the bot from a server that breaks these terms.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By inviting, using, or interacting with Royal Bot (the "Bot"), or by using any associated website or control panel (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not invite or use the Bot, and remove it from any server you control.
If you add the Bot to a Discord server, you confirm you have the authority to do so and you accept these terms on behalf of that server and its administrators.
2. Eligibility
You must meet Discord's own minimum age requirement for your country, and be at least 13 years old, to use the Service. You must also comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times. Where these terms conflict with Discord's, Discord's terms take precedence for anything relating to the Discord platform itself.
3. The service we provide
The Bot provides Discord server features such as moderation, ticketing, giveaways, leveling, invite tracking, logging, reminders and related utilities. Features may be added, changed, limited or removed at any time without prior notice.
Some features require Discord permissions or privileged gateway intents. Restricting those permissions may disable parts of the Service, and that is your choice to make.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to break any law, or to violate Discord's terms, guidelines or developer policies.
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or discriminate against any person or group.
- Distribute malware, phishing links, scams, or sexual content involving minors — the latter will be reported to the relevant authorities and to Discord.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Bot, its host machine, its database, its dashboard, or any account or system connected to it.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract credentials, tokens or source code from the Service, except where that right cannot be lawfully restricted.
- Deliberately spam, flood, rate-limit-abuse, stress-test, or otherwise degrade the Service or the infrastructure it runs on.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the Service without our written permission.
- Automate or script interactions with the Bot in a way that circumvents cooldowns, limits or anti-abuse measures.
5. Your responsibilities as a server operator
You are responsible for how the Bot is configured in your server and for the actions of your staff. In particular, you are responsible for:
- Telling your members which logging features are enabled, where required by the law that applies to you.
- Choosing appropriate permissions and log channels, and for anything posted as a result of your configuration.
- Any content you create with the Bot, including embeds, announcements, ticket transcripts and broadcast messages.
We are not a party to disputes between you and your members, and we do not moderate the content of individual servers.
6. Availability, maintenance and support
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis with no guaranteed uptime, no service-level agreement and no guaranteed response time. It may be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, hardware failure, network issues, Discord API problems, or reasons outside our control.
Support is offered through our support server on a voluntary basis. We may decline to provide support at our discretion.
7. Data and privacy
Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using the Service, you also agree to that policy.
You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of anything you consider important. We do not guarantee that data stored by the Bot will be recoverable after loss, corruption, or deletion.
8. Intellectual property
The Bot, its source code, name, branding and this website remain the property of the operator, except for third-party components used under their own licences. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.
Content you create through the Bot remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to operate the Service.
"Discord" is a trademark of Discord Inc. This project is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by Discord Inc.
9. Payments and donations
The Service is currently free. If optional paid features or donations are offered in future, they will be described at the point of purchase. Unless required by law, voluntary donations are non-refundable and do not entitle you to any specific feature, priority, or uptime guarantee.
10. Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend, blacklist or permanently remove access for any user or server that breaches these terms, abuses the Service, or puts our infrastructure or other users at risk. Where practical we will explain why, but we may act immediately and without notice in serious cases.
You may terminate these terms at any time by removing the Bot from your server and ceasing to use the Service. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and indemnity survive termination.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or server membership, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 10.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your configuration of the Bot, your content, or your breach of these terms or of any law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. The "last updated" date at the top will change, and material changes will be announced in the support server. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
